Ravi and Shakti brought the joy and color of an Indian wedding to a beach on Oahu. Their mandap style bamboo arch was draped in dark pink, gold and turquoise, the aisle was covered in pink petals with lotus flowers and yellow hibiscus, and their families arrived in a rainbow of saris through the ironwood trees.
The bride got ready at the Trump Tower in Waikiki with her bridesmaids: henna on her hands, glittering jewelry and bangles, and dramatic eye makeup. After the vows, a sand ceremony and a kiss under the mandap, everyone danced on the beach, and the celebration continued at a reception glowing in pink light at an estate house.

Getting ready
Jewelry, Henna & Saris
The morning was all about the details: gold and jeweled bangles, the wedding rings resting on pink flowers, henna on the bride’s hands, and her bridesmaids helping her into her sari and veil.
The ceremony
Vows Under the Mandap
The bridal party arrived by limo and walked through the ironwood trees to the beach. Under the pink and gold mandap the minister spoke about the rings, the bride and groom poured their sand together and shared a kiss, and then the music started and everyone danced.
