Gillian & Ron: Red & Green Beach Wedding, Oahu

Gillian and Ron chose the colors of Christmas for their April beach wedding on Oahu: an arch of red and green by the sea, red bows on the chairs, and a koa wood bowl on the table with the toasting glasses and shell leis.

The minister blew the conch shell to begin, the flower girls in white flower haku leis stole every heart, and after the vows they toasted with guava juice, cut their cake on the beach, and headed up to the cliffs at Makapuu with red and gold fabric blowing in the wind.

Vows, Leis & the Conch

Gillian walked down the aisle with her bridal party and flower girls, the minister blew the conch shell, and Gillian and Ron exchanged rings and leis with their families gathered close around them.

The flower girls and their friends played on the lava rocks, laughed as a wave splashed up, twirled umbrellas and jumped in the air, with cake on their faces by the end of the day.

After a toast with guava juice, Gillian and Ron went up to the cliffs at Makapuu, where the red and gold fabric from their arch danced in the wind and Ron dipped his bride above the ocean.
